Shotseek. A Chrome extension for retina screenshots, done right.
Shotseek takes pixel-perfect retina screenshots of any page: full page, visible area, a dragged selection, or a single element — with no scrollbars in your shots and no duplicated sticky headers.
Exports go out as PNG, JPEG, WebP, or PDF at 2× or 1×, straight to the clipboard, or as Figma-ready 4096px tiles bundled in a ZIP. There is an optional macOS-style frame with real window corners and a soft shadow, a local history of your last captures, and a keyboard shortcut for every capture mode. Files are named after the site’s domain.
Privacy policy
Effective date: September 2, 2026.
What data is collected. None. Shotseek does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data or sensitive user data. There are no analytics, no accounts, no cookies, no tracking, and no servers involved.
Where processing happens. Everything Shotseek does happens locally in your browser. Captures and settings are stored in your browser’s local storage (IndexedDB) on your device and never leave it.
Page access. Shotseek uses Chrome’s activeTab permission, which means it can only see a page after you explicitly invoke it there — by clicking the toolbar icon or pressing a keyboard shortcut. It has no access to your browsing otherwise.
Third parties. No data is shared with, sold to, or transferred to any third party, because no data is collected in the first place.
Changes. If a future version ever changes any of the above, this section will be updated before that version ships.
